Moose Scanner compatible Laser Guide Attachment

The Moose is a great budget level scanner but it lacks particularly in one feature: Coordinating aim when manual scanning!

It can be quite difficult to point the scanner at the target at the same time as watching the screen AND keeping the optimim distance so it doesnt lose tracking.

This Laser Guide Attachment (LGA) helps reduce the loss of tracking and improve overall scan efficiency by providing an easy way to ensure the scanner is pointed at the correct spot and is held at the correct distance.

It snaps onto the Moose scanner and does not interfere with the tribod mount so it can be used for hand held and turntable scans as well.

Installation:

The LGA installs in seconds and can be removed easily for storage. Simply position the front locator clasp on the front face of the Moose above the lenses. Push the LGA down so it snaps into place.

To remove, pull the rear clamp outward and lift the LGA off.

Operation:

1. Attach the LGA to the Moose as described above. 
2. Ensure the Moose is connected to the computer or Smart Grip and functioning with JM Studio running on your PC or Phone.
3. Turn on the LGA and aim the Moose at a convenient spot on the subject using the screen cross hairs as a reference for your target. Adjust for the optimum distance to the target as shown in the on screen Distance Indicator. Ensure the Moose does not move.
4. Calibrate the LGA by adjusting the two lasers to coincide with each other on the target. 
5. Start scanning as normal keeping the the two dots together by moving the Moose backward or forward to ensure the optimum distance is maintained.

As long as the laser points are kept as close together as possible on the target, the scanner will always be at the optimum distance. And because the points are calibrated to the scanner's cross-hair target, you can see exactly where the the scanner is pointing.

You dont have to take your eyes off the subject to keep referring back to the screen to check if you are. However, for complex subjects, it is wise to check every now and again, to make sure you havent lost tracking and have covered all the area you need.

If you purchase the incorrect item, it will be returned to us. We can apply the purchase price to the correct item, but not the shipping. You will need to pay this again, so please be sure to choose correctly.

Important notes.

This products is under continous development and may not yet be perfect.

It has 3D printed parts and utilises off the shelf components. It is likely that there will be minor flaws and the version you receive may be slighlty different to that shown. We will aim to improve the design in each production batch with your feedback.

Delivery.

Each LGA will be made to order until we have enough volume to produce in batches. Please allow 3-5 days for production before your order is dispatched. Occassionally we will need to order components and wait times could push out to a week or more. We will let you know if there is a delay as soon as we can.

Shipping outside Australia can sometimes take up to 3 weeks. We will proivide a tracking number for each delivery so you can follow its journey to you..
